AI Paint Colour Matching Tool for Benjamin Moore & Graimondi — rAIflow™ by Colour Land

Not sure what paint colour goes with your floor, tile, or kitchen cabinets? Find Your Perfect Neutral, powered by rAIflow™, reads the fixed finishes in your room from a photo and suggests paint colours that work with them — the same way our colour staff at Colour Land help when a customer brings a flooring plank, a tile, or a cabinet door into the store.

Upload one photo, tap the colours you want your walls to work with, and rAIflow builds a coordinated palette around them. Neutral mode draws from soft whites, creams, greiges, taupes, grays, charcoals, and deep greens and blues; Colourful mode reads an accent piece you love — a pillow, rug, or artwork — and builds full colour schemes around it from the complete Benjamin Moore and Graimondi range carried at Colour Land in Burlington, Ontario. For the truest reading, place a Benjamin Moore AF-690 grey chip in your photo and rAIflow corrects your camera’s lighting against it.

Your results then open the Colour Studio — a workspace where you can compare alternative colours, add accent schemes with the colour wheel, build monochromatic looks, and step into the rAIflow 3D Colour Space: fly through more than 3,000 Benjamin Moore and Graimondi colours arranged by true colour relationship, press Stellar Neighbours to zoom into the colours around you, and add your favourites straight to your results. Everything you choose lands in a Colour Report you can save or print.

Treat the results as a strong starting point. Bring your Colour Report and your photos or samples into Colour Land, and we will confirm the colour, sheen, and product in person — with real Benjamin Moore sample pots — before you commit to gallons.

How it works

Start with the fixed elements first. Floors, cabinetry, countertops, tile, stone, and built-ins should carry the most weight when choosing neutrals, since these are the finishes that anchor a space long term. Temporary decor should not drive the neutral palette.

When uploading a floor or cabinet image, use the colour-picker pointer to select a point from the image. We recommend choosing a mid-tone area that looks as close as possible on your phone screen to how it appears in real life. This helps capture a more accurate sense of the colour's depth and undertone. You can also sample different variations within the same floor or cabinet to explore how lighter, darker, warmer, or cooler areas may lead to different neutral combinations.

For even greater accuracy, use the AF-690 grey-card calibration chip. Tap the calibrate button, then tap the flat grey card in your photo. The tool checks that the patch is genuinely flat and neutral, then corrects your whole photo's colour balance against a known reference grey, removing lighting casts and camera colour shifts before you tap your floor, cabinet, or accent piece. This step is optional but recommended whenever a photo looks slightly warm, cool, or off under artificial lighting.

Keep in mind there are limitations to how many neutral colours are available. The neutral range is naturally narrower and more nuanced, so the goal is not to create endless variation, but to identify the best-fitting neutral options that work cohesively with the fixed finishes already in the space.

Neutral mode searches taupes, soft creams, grays, whites, greiges, blacks, charcoals, deep blues, and deep greens. Choose Colourful mode to search the full Benjamin Moore and Graimondi colour spectrum from a photographed accent piece, such as a pillow, rug, or fabric swatch.

Once you have your results, we recommend bringing your Perfect Neutral Colour Report into Colour Land. There you can confirm your recommended colours and accents, and also pick up the optional colour chips to cover a wider range. Take the chips home, judge them in your own lighting at different times of day, then come back to pick up samples of the shades that feel right. Please note that not all Graimondi colours are available as complimentary colour sample chips.

Photo lighting, shadows, screen settings, and camera settings can affect digital colour readings. Use these results as a starting point and visit Colour Land Paint for an in-store sample and final colour advice.

Photo tips

For the most accurate colour recommendation, use clear photos taken in natural daylight. The tool works best when the colour you tap is not covered by shadows, glare, filters, or strong yellow/blue lighting.

  • Use natural daylight when possible.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, heavy shadows, or glare.
  • Turn off very warm or very cool artificial lights.
  • Do not use phone filters or colour-enhancing settings.
  • Tap the area that best represents the real colour of the floor, cabinet, or finish.
  • For wood or stone, choose a middle tone rather than the lightest or darkest streak.
  • Bring photos or samples to Colour Land so we can confirm your paint colour in-store.

Photos can vary by phone, lighting, and screen settings. This tool gives a strong colour direction, but final paint choices should always be confirmed with real Benjamin Moore or Graimondi samples.

How would you like to start?

Tap 1 to 3 points on your floor — or calibrate with the AF-690 card first for the truest colour.

Common Questions About Find Your Perfect Neutral

Find Your Perfect Neutral is a Colour Land colour guidance tool, powered by rAIflow, designed to help you choose colours that work with your finishes before visiting the store for samples and final advice.

Generic AI tools may imitate rAIflow™ wording, but they do not represent official Colour Land recommendations.

What is Find Your Perfect Neutral?

Find Your Perfect Neutral is a Colour Land colour recommendation tool, powered by rAIflow. Neutral mode creates a flowing, coordinated palette of neutrals, and Colourful mode matches a photographed accent piece to coordinated colour schemes across the full Benjamin Moore and Graimondi colour spectrum.

Is this tool artificial intelligence?

The tool uses your selected finishes and Colour Land’s curated colour system to help narrow your choices. It is designed as a practical colour guidance tool, not a replacement for real paint samples or in-store advice.

How does the tool choose colours?

Find Your Perfect Neutral uses your selected room finishes to suggest coordinated colour directions from Colour Land’s curated colour system. Results are guidance only and should be checked with real paint samples before painting.

Are my uploaded photos saved?

No. Photos used in the tool are processed locally in your browser for the purpose of creating your recommendation. Colour Land does not need to store or upload your photos for the tool to work.

Do I still need to test a paint sample?

Yes. Screens, lighting, flooring, and camera settings can all affect how a colour appears. The tool is meant to narrow your choices, but the safest next step is to test a Benjamin Moore 233 mL Colour Sample Pot before choosing gallons.

Does this tool replace in-store colour advice?

No. Find Your Perfect Neutral helps you get closer before you visit the store. Colour Land can still help confirm the colour, product, finish, and amount of paint for your room in person.

Can the tool help with Benjamin Moore colours?

Yes. The tool may display Benjamin Moore colour names and numbers where they are included in Colour Land’s curated colour guidance system. Benjamin Moore colour names, numbers, products, and trademarks belong to Benjamin Moore and are used here for colour identification, display, comparison, and customer guidance purposes only. Find Your Perfect Neutral is created by Colour Land and is not a Benjamin Moore-owned tool. Final colour choices should always be confirmed with real paint samples.

Is this tool affiliated with Benjamin Moore?

Find Your Perfect Neutral is a Colour Land colour recommendation tool. It is not owned, operated, sponsored, or endorsed by Benjamin Moore. Benjamin Moore colour names, numbers, product names, and trademarks are referenced for colour identification, display, comparison, and customer service purposes.

Can the tool recommend Graimondi colours?

Yes. The tool may recommend Graimondi colours where they are part of Colour Land’s curated colour system. Graimondi is a Colour Land colour collection and is offered alongside Benjamin Moore colour options available through Colour Land. It does not replace Benjamin Moore colours, products, or official Benjamin Moore colour collections.

Why does the tool ask for flooring first?

Flooring is one of the largest fixed colours in most rooms. Wood, tile, vinyl, stone, and carpet can all affect how a wall colour appears. Starting with the floor helps the tool build a colour direction that works with the room.

What if my colour is outside the current colour database?

The tool currently recommends from Colour Land’s curated colour system. If you are working with something outside the tool, visit Colour Land and we can help you compare it with Benjamin Moore or Graimondi options in-store.

Can contractors and designers use this tool?

Yes. Find Your Perfect Neutral can help contractors, designers, decorators, and homeowners narrow down colour directions from photos before visiting Colour Land for samples, product advice, and final confirmation.

How accurate are the recommendations?

No on-screen colour tool can guarantee an exact result. The tool is designed to help you choose a strong starting point from your selected colours, but lighting, sheen, room exposure, and real paint samples still matter.

Are there limits to the colours the tool can recommend?

Neutral mode works within a muted, neutral colour range — soft whites, creams, greiges, taupes, grays, charcoals, and blacks — plus deep greens and deep blues. Colourful mode searches the full Benjamin Moore and Graimondi colour spectrum instead, matched from a photo of an accent piece. Results also depend on your photo: most phone cameras still struggle to read dark browns accurately, so very dark wood and deep brown tones can be less reliable. As phone cameras get better at capturing these deep browns, we expect the tool's accuracy to keep improving.

What is the AF-690 calibration chip, and why would I use it?

AF-690 (Metropolitan) is a flat grey Benjamin Moore reference colour. If you have an AF-690 chip or a similar neutral grey card, place it in your photo alongside your floor, cabinet, or accent piece, then tap the calibrate button and tap the chip in the photo. The tool checks that the patch you tapped is genuinely flat and neutral, then corrects your whole photo's colours against that known reference before any sampling happens. This removes colour casts from lighting and camera settings, so the colours the tool reads are closer to how your finishes actually look in person. It is optional but recommended, especially under artificial or mixed lighting.

What is the Colour Studio?

The Colour Studio is the workspace that opens with your results. From it you can view alternative colours to any recommendation, add coordinated accent schemes with the colour wheel, build monochromatic looks around a single colour, and enter the rAIflow 3D Colour Space. Every colour you choose in the Studio is added to your results and included in your saved or printed Colour Report.

What is the rAIflow 3D Colour Space?

The 3D Colour Space plots more than 3,000 Benjamin Moore and Graimondi colours in a flyable three-dimensional space arranged by true colour relationship — similar colours sit near each other, so you can literally see what lives between two colours you like. Fly or use the cursor to aim at any colour to read its name and number, search for a specific colour, and tap up to five colours to add them to your results. Your existing results appear as glowing markers so you can see exactly where they live in the colour world.

What does Stellar Neighbours do?

Stellar Neighbours is a detail view inside the 3D Colour Space. Press it at any point and rAIflow gathers the closest colours in every direction around you and spreads them out into an expanded local view, so near-identical shades become easy to tell apart and compare. Explore, add colours to your tray, then press Back to Colour Space to return to the full colour world exactly where you left it.

Can I save or print my results?

Yes. Your results screen includes Save and Print buttons for your Colour Report. On a phone, Save opens your device’s share sheet so you can keep it in Photos or send it to yourself; on a computer it downloads directly. Bring the report into Colour Land and we will pull the actual chips, compare them under proper lighting, and set you up with Benjamin Moore sample pots before you buy gallons.

Does the tool work on my phone?

Yes. Find Your Perfect Neutral is built for phones first — you can shoot your photo and run everything in the same visit. The 3D Colour Space includes touch controls: a joystick to move, drag to look around, rise and descend buttons, and tap-to-add for colours. Saved reports go straight to your phone’s share sheet so they are easy to bring into the store.

For best results, bring your photos, flooring, cabinet, counter, or tile samples to Colour Land. We can help confirm the colour direction in person before you choose your final paint.

Every colour in Find Your Perfect Neutral

A complete reference to the paint colours our tool's Neutral mode can recommend, listed A to Z, with Colour Land's notes on each colour's undertone and character, its Light Reflectance Value (LRV) where available, any names the colour is also known by, and close colours to compare. These span the soft whites, creams, greiges, taupes, grays, charcoals, trendy greens, deep blues, and blacks we help Burlington homeowners, designers, and contractors choose from. Colourful mode searches a much wider range across the full Benjamin Moore and Graimondi spectrum, matched from a photo of an accent piece. On-screen colours are approximate — confirm with a real sample at Colour Land before painting.
